MAGNOLIA ANTIQUE CAR CLUB
The Magnolia Antique Car Club held it’s first meeting of 2018 at Dinner Bell on January 23,2018 with 29 in attendance. Jim Blalock led us in prayer. Reggie Rickman called the meeting to order. The minutes and financial reports were given. Jim Blalock made a motion to accept them as read with Michael Mann seconding the motion.
It was discussed that on February 23-25 there will be a car show at the Tupelo Furniture Market. Bill Rogers brought up the new fire truck exhibit at the depot will be selling bricks for a fundraiser. Billy Briggs made a motion to purchase a $350 brick for the car club. Rick Kelley seconded the motion.
Our next order of business was election of new officers. Rick Kelley took over the election. Nominations were opened as followed: President- Michael Mann was nominated by Billy Briggs. Vise President- Ruben Pittman was nominated by O’Neal Hudson. Secretary and treasurer- Brittney Pittman was nominated by Leroy Brown. Chaplin- Jim Blalock was nominated by Reggie Rickman. Tour Chairman- Rosa Lawson was nominated by Harvey Meeks. Public Relations- Leroy Brown was nominated by Rodney Hardin. Web Master- Barbra Rogers was nominated by Joe Doty. All nominations were seconded and all members were in agreement with none opposed.
After officers were elected Michael Mann took over the meeting and stated the Executive Board need 3 new members. Harvey Meeks, Joe Doty, and Hilda Brown were added as members of the Executive Board. Michael Mann reminded the club members to renew their dues.
Michael Mann then made a motion for Linda Pace to become a member of the club and her dues be waived. Ruben seconded the motion.
Diane Ford won the jackpot drawing of $22.
With no other business to discuss, the meeting was adjourned.
The Magnolia Car Club met on October 10 at the Dinner Bell in Corinth with 35 in attendance.
Chaplin Jim Blalock led the club in prayer. President Reggie Rickman called the meeting to order. The minutes and financial reports were given. Rick Kelley made a motion to accept as read with Jim Blalock seconded the motion. The Cruise In was discussed with Reggie asking everyone to try to come a little early .We were also reminded of the Christmas party at Chapman’s Restaurant in December.
Rick Kelley gave a report and information on the Toyota plant tour on Nov. 2nd. The group will be split into 2 groups at 9:30 and 11:30.
Club members were asked to wear club T-shirts to cruise in and registration fee will be $15.00 Reggie told us that he purchased tents for the club from Dick’s Sporting Goods. Magnolia Funeral Home donated 100.00 to the club.
We were reminded of the Veteran’s Day parade on Friday Nov. 10.

Jim Blaylock led us in a prayer. Reggie called the meeting to order and ask for minutes and financial reports to be given. Leroy made motion to accept the minutes as read with Rick seconding.
Reggie passed around pictures of the coke cooler to be auctioned at the super cruise in. He also went over a list of upcoming car shows. The Christmas party has been changed to 7pm, which will be held at Chapman’s , Dec 9th . also reminded us of the dirty santa gifts and desserts.
Rick passed a sign up sheet for the Toyota plant tour.
A duty roster was passed out for Super Cruise In which is Sunday October 15. Members were asked to bring items for door prizes and baked goods to sell. All proceeds go to the West Clinic.
Danette is still taking orders for caps.
Barbara Hutson won the drawing for 15.00.

Magnolia Car Club met on Tuesday August 22 , 2017 at The Dinner Bell in Corinth. There was 34 in attendance.
The meeting was called to order with Leroy Brown leading us in prayer. minutes and financial reports were given, Rick Kelly made a motion to accept as read with Jim Blalock seconding. Darren and Tammy rejoined the club and Tommy and Shelly were voted in as new members.
Reggie gave a report on up coming car shows.. It was decided to wait until super cruise in
to sell the Coke Wagon Cooler in a silent auction with bids starting @ 500.00.
The Christmas party will be Dec. 9 at Chapman’s at 6pm. For those who want to participate bring a 15.00 dirty santa gift. .The ladies were asked to bring a dessert.
A trip to tour the Toyota plant was discussed. They are on Tuesday and Thursday with 12 going at a time.
Betty Kelley won the drawing for 24.00. Leroy made a motion to adjourn Joe Doty seconded.
Magnolia Car Club met on Tuesday July 25, 2017 at Arby’s in Corinth with 30 in attendance. Reggie called the meeting to order. Billy Briggs let us in prayer. The minutes and financial were read. Michael Mann made a motion to accept both as read with Joe Doty seconding the motion.
Reggie briefly reported on the celebration of the West Wing bell and the ice cream social. He also informed the club that we will be holding future meetings at The Dinner Bell in Corinth.
The next cruise in will be August 27 at Arby’s. Wayne Newton and Harvey Meeks will be in charge of parking.
Members discussed going to a cruise in at Pappy’s Garage in Tupelo. It is held every 4th Friday from 6pm to 9pm.
Reggie brought up that the club is selling the Coca Cola trailer. A price of 800.00 to 1200.00 was discussed with a lower price if a club member was interested. It was also brought up that it could be carried to next cruise in and auctioned off in a silent auction.
Joel Burcham told club that Ronnie Gist has purchased a large movie screen and has a free movie night at the Red Wrench Garage every Friday night at 6pm and shows movie around 8:30. This is in Florence, AL. Bring your cars and lawn chairs.

Magnolia Car Club met on Tuesday May 23, 2017 at Lucy’s Restaurant in Corinth,.
with 24 in attendance.
We were led in opening prayer by Jim Blalock. Reggie called the meeting to order.
Minutes were read and financial report was given. Leroy Brown made a motion to accept as read, seconded by Rick Kelley.
Reggie reported on Long Lewis Car Show. $1316.00 was raised and a check will be presented to Pine Vale Children’s Home on Tuesday.
Barbara Rogers gave a report on the bell at West Clinic. She passed a picture around for everyone to see the work that has been done. A dedication is set for Friday June 9 @ 5:00pm. They have requested that anyone who can bring their antique cars. VIP magazine
will be there to make pictures.
The annual ice cream social will be on Sunday June 11 from 1 to 3 pm at Joel Burcham’s home.
Reggie discussed the clubs invitation to bring cars out to the arena on Monday June 26, 5pm to 8pm for the Cattle Show, There was enough response from members for the club to participate.
We were reminded of cruise in at Arby’s on Sunday.

Magnolia Car Club met Tuesday April 25 2017, at Lucy’s restaurant in Corinth.
President Reggie Rickman called the meeting to order and the minutes and financial reports were given. A motion was made to accept as read by Danette Rickman and seconded by Leroy Brown
We were given a report on Rick Kelleys condition. Also we were informed of Keith Fowler’s surgery. He is back in Corinth and improving. A donation will be made to West Clinic in his name from the club.
Work rosters were passed out for the Long Lewis car show,
Arby’s grand opening will be May 20th and club was invited to come by after car show.
Barbara Rogers gave a report on the bell at West Clinic It is finished and looks very nice. There will be a dedication probably in June.
A motion was made to change meeting time from 7pm to 6pm. It was voted on and approved.
Rosa Lawson won the drawing of 21.00. There was 26 in attendance..
Tuesday March 28, 2017 the car club met at Lucy’s Restaurant in Corinth. There was 25 in attendance.
We were led in prayer by Jim Blalock and Reggie then called the meeting to order. The minutes and financial report were given. A motion was made to accept as read by Jim Blalock and seconded by Billy Briggs.
Reggie gave a report on car shows for the month of April. The May 20 Long Lewis Car Show will benefit the Pine Vale Children’s Home.
We were given a report on Rick Kelley’s condition and also a report on Faye McAlpin.
In June the National Cattle Show will be at the Arena in Corinth and the club was invited to bring our cars for show.
The drawing for 20.00 went to Larry Smith who donated back to club treasury.

The Magnolia Car Club met on Tuesday 28,2017, at Lucy’s Restaurant in Corinth, with 20 in attendance.
The meeting was called to order by Reggie Rickman. We were led in prayer by Leroy Brown. The minutes were read and the treasurer gave a financial report. A motion was made by Leroy Brown and seconded by Rick Kelley to accept the minutes and financial reports as read.
Reggie gave a report on a Yeti Cooler purchased from Lonnie’s to be raffled off at the Super Cruise In in October. He also passed out a parking roster for workers at the Cruise In’s.
A $100.00 donation was given to the club by Racer’s Expo at the Arena for the clubs participation.
Betty Kelley won the drawing for $16.00. Leroy Brown made a motion to adjourn and seconded by Rick Kelley.
JANUARY 2017 Meeting
The Magnolia Car Club met on Tuesday, January 16 at Lucy’s Restaurant in Corinth, with 35 in attendance. Leroy Brown led us in prayer. The meeting was called to order by President Reggie Rickman. The secretary read the minutes from our last meeting in October. A financial report was given by treasurer, O’Neal Hutson. Leroy Brown made a motion to accept the reports as read. It was seconded by Michael Mann.
Reggie read a thank you note from West Clinic. A motion was made by Rick Kelley to continue to sponsor West Clinic with proceeds from the annual Cruise In. A report was given by Barbara Rogers on the construction of the bell for West Clinic. Scott Ford donated the labor for its construction and the club presented Barbara $200.00 to complete the project. Barbara also told us we would receive an invitation to the ceremony to dedicate the bell.
Reggie informed us the Cruise In will remain at Arby’s. We were pleased to vote in new members, Shelia and Larry Smith.
Officers for this year remain the same: Reggie Rickman, President; Michael Mann, Vice President; Barbara Hutson, Secretary; O’Neal Hutson, Treasurer; Jim Blalock, Chaplin. Leroy Brown nominated Rick Kelley as Tour Chairman, it was seconded by Michael Mann. Rick Kelley nominated Leroy Brown as Public Relations Director and was seconded by Rosa Lawson. Barbara Rogers agreed to be our Web Master. Executive Board is as stands: Rick Kelley – 2 years, Rosa Lawson – off, Barbara Rogers – 1 year, Danette Rickman – 1 year, Billy Briggs – 1 year, Dan Story – 2 years, Joel Burcham – 1 year. All were approved by voice vote.
October 15,2017, will be our Super Cruise In with a rain date for the 22nd. Keith Fowler won the drawing for $33.00. It was agreed that we continue to meet at Lucy’s Restaurant. Leroy Brown made a motion to be adjourned and Michael Mann seconded it.
